Jogging or hiking from home?
If you like to start the day with a bit of sport, or if you like aperitif and digestive walks, then you will find what you are looking for by staying with us!
Less than 300 meters away by walk, a fitness trail and many forest walks or short hikes in the hills are available to you, without taking your car.
On foot, by bike, on horseback or by car for a breathtaking view of the Mediterranean Sea and the Alps, lovers of peace and nature will go to the Col de Vence, located at an altitude of 963 meters. The Tour de France (by bike) goes there regularly!
Visits, strolling, shopping and local entertainment?
In 20 minutes walk, by a bucolic path or in 5 minutes by car, you can reach the center of Vence.
Perched 300 meters above sea level, Vence is located 20 minutes from Nice Côte d’Azur airport and the beaches. Lively all year round thanks to its many markets, its traders and its restaurants, it is the sought-after village in the hinterland of Nice.
This small town is rich in its Provençal history, the old part of the city surrounded by ramparts dating from François 1er (16th century), its 3 rivers, 2 springs and around twenty fountains at the foot of the Baous. Far from the glitter of the Côte d’Azur, Vence has attracted many artists who have drawn inspiration from the calm: Marc Chagall or Henri Matisse, who built the famous Rosary chapel there.
Music lovers may prefer the Festival des Nuits du Sud which celebrated its 25th anniversary in July 2022.
In the nearby village of Saint-Paul-de-Vence, the Maeght Foundation houses one of the most important collections of modern art in Europe. It is a must to visit absolutely! Only 3 km from our villa you can walk there through the forest.

Tourrettes-sur-loup, city of the violet, La Colle-sur-Loup, city of the rose, Le Bar-sur-Loup and its Florian candy confectionery, Gourdon and Gréolières, medieval perched villages, Grasse city of perfumery, Villeneuve-Loubet, city of Escoffier, founder of modern cuisine and its gourmet festival.
Finally, Nice, the capital of the Côte d’Azur, listed in 2021 as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Baie de Anges, the Nice old town, the castle hill, the Cours Saleya, the Paillon promenade, its Jazz festival, its museums, … to see absolutely.
A little further?
Eze and its exotic garden offering a breathtaking view of the Mediterranean Sea from Italy to Esterel, Antibes/Juan-Les-Pins for its fine sandy beaches, its coastal path and its jazz festival, Cannes, the city of international film festival in May and international fireworks festival in July and August, Monaco and its remarkable oceanographic museum, Menton, city of lemons, on the Italian border.
Fancy a return to the "wilderness"?
The Biological Reserve of the Monts d’Azur: 36 km from us, you will reach in 50 minutes the wildest territory of the Alpes Maritimes to see on foot or by horse-drawn carriage the European bison and Przewalski’s horses.
The Parc des Loups du Mercantour: 57 km from us, in 1h15 you can visit the village of St Martin Vésubie and the Parc des Loups, area of many remarkable hiking departures.

Hiking, cycling, horseback riding, maritime, cultural, gastronomic activities, music festivals, pyrotechnic festivals…. are available to you a stone’s throw from our house. For all your questions, we will be happy to advise you according to your wishes.
